Did you know that for some states RCRA environmental training is not enough?

Federal and State environmental training law requires facility personnel to receive hazardous waste management training annually.....

According to Title 40 CFR 265.16, and Title 22 CCR 66265.16 facility personnel in California must successfully complete a program of classroom instruction or on-the-job training (environmental training) that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that assures the facility's compliance with RCRA and Title-22 requirements. Environmental training is required for all persons who work at, or oversee the operations of, a hazardous waste facility, and whose professional actions or failure to act may result in non-compliance. Title-22 applies to California only.

The above also requires that the environmental training be directed by a person trained in hazardous waste management procedures. Employees must be trained within six months of employment or assignment and take part in an annual review after the initial environmental training.
